National e-Governance plan to be launched in India

The Indian Government will soon launch the National e-Governance Plan. This was announced by the Finance Minister while presenting the Union Budget of 2006-07.

Twenty five projects in mission mode will be launched in 2006-07. Among them is Project MCA-21 to enable companies to file returns electronically and a project for setting up of common service centres and assigning unique ID to BPL families.
