A Rs 57-crore data centre designed to meet requirements of Karnataka government for the next decade was set up recently. The centre will offer latest technologies including virtualisation and provide the servers on demand to various department of the government to facilitate e-Initiatives
The State Government of Tamil Nadu has selected 3i Infotech to set up Common Service Centres (CSC) in all fives zones of the state to provide Internet facility and Government to Citizen services (G2C) services.
Clearly, the State of Bihar is in the throes of adopting e-Governance soon. With the new Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the State has again become hopeful to see things moving at a fast pace. Currently, there is not much to showcase but Bihar would certainly like to emulate the most popular project e-Seva, which is easy to replicate, says Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Secretary, Science & Technology, Government of Bihar, to Anuradha Dhar from egov.
