Mumbai and Chennai, new Railway e-ticket hubs

India Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) is planning to start e-ticketing in Mumbai and Chennai soon looking at the immense success of the e-ticket services from New Delhi. At present reserved tickets which are booked through internet are being printed and delivered only from New Delhi. The process takes 3-4 days to reach the prospective passengers. In order to curtail the delay to deliver printed tickets to passengers, the IRCTC has now planned to install hub stations in Chennai and Mumbai for printing tickets to cater to the needs of the South and West Zone passengers respectively.
