Once the new legislation on e-Services for public is passed, all government departments will have to issue a framework within six months on services to be digitised and formats to be adopted, along with a cut-off date for completing the exercise

The Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India, has presented a policy drat for mobile governance
The Union ministry of information technology recently released a draft of the Electronic Service Delivery Bill, 2011 on its website, inviting public opinion on it by May 4.
The framework looks largely at ways in which the mobile can be used to provide government services. The draft has been tabled and available forcomments from anyone till the 15th of April, 2011.
