The UAE ranks 24th in the world and 1st among Arab countries in its use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to enhance competitiveness and development, according to The Global Information Technology Report 2010-2011
According to recently published World Economic Forum report, China has improved its information technology infrastructure by receiving 46th position globally this year on the Networked Readiness Index (NRI).
According to the study conducted by World Economic Forum and INSEAD, one of the world’s leading business schools, Bahrain ranked 45th on the global Information and Communication Technology (ICT) readiness index.
India, being the fastest growing cellular market, has slipped one position to 40th rank in the global Network Readiness Index for 2005-06, according the report published by World Economic Forum (WEF). India was ranked 39th in last year’s report.
In the report’s Network Readiness Index (NRI), which reflects the degree of readiness of a country to benefit from Information and Communications Technology (ICT) development, Taiwan’s ranking soared eight places from 15th in 2004-2005 to seventh place among 115 countries.
A global report ranks Bahrain in the top of half of the countries, geared up for information technology.
