The Semantic Interoperability Centre Europe (SEMIC.EU) has launched website www.semic.eu, so that public can easily access information through the new website.
The Latvia Government is planning to allow voters to cast ballots by Internet in elections in 2009. The e-voting system should be up and running by March 2009, when Latvia’s 1.45-million-strong electorate is due to go to the polls in municipal elections.
