Initiating mGov

Ramesh-RamanathanWe are the only company perhaps to be involved in the implementation of eGovernance in around five states, which has benefitted more than 8.3 crore of urban population and our services deliver 2.4 crore citizen services annually. Not just urban local bodies, we are also into implementing solutions for tourism and development.

We also take this eGovernance in digitising the back-end processes and interaction within the inter-government framework. Today, the mobile phones, specially the smartphones have made so many technologies obsolete. The key aspects of mGovernance include transforming eGovernance services directly to mobile platform, provide access to mobile technologies, enable smart and flexible working. We provide citizen srvices anytime and anywhere.

The technology is growing fast so the government also has to equip with the latest technology-enabled dvices or gadgets to the field people so that they are also in a position to provide effective setvices. However, the challenges in rural areas regarding the same is the bandwidth and the connectivity because if connectivity is not there, the whole thing will fall flat. So, when it comes to interface it is going to be simple usage of technology and thus the emphasis is more on processes rather than technology.
