Technical Void
Parbhani is a very small district in the region of Maharashtra. It is a drought-prone area with very low income of the society and does not have much industrial scope because of scarcity of water. The challenges in providing basic services that anybody expects from a corporation are drinking water, sanitation and solid waste Since it was a municipal council since 2011, all these things were of very less standards primarily because of the low attentions and low income levels of the corporation in itself.
When we think about the municipal councils and small corporations of Maharashtra, the primary problem that we face is the tchnical guidance. There is a difference in the service availability of bigger corporations like Navi Mumbai and Pune and small corporations like Parbhani. Coming to drinking water, sanitation, and solid waste, what we need primarily is a solution that is based on ground realities analysed through technical eye.
