This is an excellent move in view of the Indian IT Security improvement. Ideally our government should make the same policy guidelines even for Company / Corporate / Industry IT Infrastructure, which says all India country IT Infrastrcuture should be hosted within India only.

A plethora of institutional arrangements are available at central as well as state level - why create one more government agency just for capacity building? NISG is competently doing the same, besides providing commendable consultancy services. Best part is, NISG earns its own revenue. It would be far more economical to strengthen NISG by inducting cadre officers at senior management level so as to balance the skill distribution.

I agree with swami. There should not be different packages which are so confusing that even the company may not get the meaning. All calls should be on second basis.

There has been tremendous development in the ICT sector over the last 3 years. I was at the eHealth forum at eASIA 2011 and was impressed to see the initiatives taken. I would expect that ideas are quickly transformed into reality. In the developing world people get lost in the hype. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the clutter of new tools and information available. Cutting through all the hype to see what really works for your project implementation can be a challenge. When you focus all your effort on tools and tactics but don’t have a clear strategy behind your actions some serious holes in your project will start to surface in three main areas.

1.The education level of the population targeted

2. The skill and competence of the healthcare provider and last but not the least,

3. The maintenance and care of the high tech gadgets.

In the third world a lot of projects are destined to fail miserably because of our total disregard for the art of management, especially its inherent maintenance and repair aspect. The idea of Total Quality Management has to be hammered into our 'recalcitrant' heads with zero tolerance for inefficiency and mismanagement.

Dear Sir,
I will feel that I am fortunate enough to be part of the staff of the proposed National Institute of Governance, if I can get the opportunity of working in NIG. I am BE, DCA, ME, MBA, PGDEov and Doctorate in Information Technologies, I have about 35 publications in journals, international conferences and national conference with working experience in industry, academics and research. Currently I am working in Saudi Arabia in the research field. Can mother India utilize me a resource person to give my services as a government servant working for NIG?
