BLS International selected to run 350 sewa kendras in Punjab

BLS InternationalBLS International, a leading provider of Government to Citizen services, has been selected to manage two-thirds of the 515 sewa kendras that Punjab government has allowed to operate in the state.

The company bagged the contract to run the sewa kendras in two of the three zones created across Punjab after fresh bids were invited for the project.

Under the terms of the contract agreed upon, BLS International will be allowed to provide private services besides the 100 government services that have been identified by the government. The rates of the services will, however, be fixed by the authorities concerned.

A total of 352 kendras in 16 districts of Punjab will be operated by BLS International, which specialises in visa, passport and consular outsourcing.

The company claims to have presence in more than 50 countries and had a turnover of $95.44 million for FY 2016-17. It is a part of the four decades-old BLS Group which offers a diversified range of services in polymers and petrochemicals, education, electronics, asset management, visa processing and management consulting.
