Huawei is the world’s 40th most valuable brand in 2017 , according to an annual ranking by British brand valuation firm Brand Finance. This position is  up by seven places from its position a year ago. Brand Finance has valued Huawei at $25.23 billion — up 28 per cent from the previous year.

Last year, the company delivered over 140 million smartphones globally, with a market share of 10 per cent — up 29 per cent from a year ago.

Huawei Consumer Business Group revenue for 2016 increased 42 per cent from 2015, marking the fifth consecutive year of steady growth.


Every year, Brand Finance evaluates thousands of global brands to determine its “Brand Finance Global 500” list of today’s most valuable brands.

Google has topped this list overtaking Apple to become the “most valuable global brand” this year.


The ranking is based on interviews with more than three million consumers plus data on the financial and business performance of each company, using data from Bloomberg and Kantar World panel.

These are the top 10 most valuable brands in the world and an analysis of what happened over the last 12 months to shift those companies into their respective rankings.
