The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) Chairman cum Managing Director Gopal Singh for the post of CMD of National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC).
In one of its statements, PESB said that it had interviewed 13 persons for the selection process.
PESB is responsible for selection and placement of candidates for board-level positions in the central public sector undertakings.
Since March 2012, Gopal Singh is working as the CMD of Central Coalfields Limited. Born in 1961, Singh graduated from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in 1981 and started his professional career as Mining Engineer at Rajrappa Area, CCL.
