Rs 100 crore in one day: PSPCL realises the magic of digital payments

PSPCLPunjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has collaborated with the State Bank of India (SBI) for the collection of electricity  bills through RTGS mode.

On Friday, around Rs 100 crore were collected through digital bill payment which is one of the largest payment collection in India.

“PSPCL has provided various facilties of digital payments like debit card, credit card, net banking,Paytm, RTGS, etc.PSPCL will make all out efforts to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the business, industry and all the consumers by undertaking various such digital initiatives,” said Baldev Singh Sran, Chairman and Managing Director, PSPCL.

Now consumers of the PSPCL can pay their bills through any bank online, thus saving them their time from long queues at cash counters.

For bills exceeding Rs 3 lakh, it has been made compulsary by the department to pay them online.

The bill payment receipt will be available on the PSPCL website which can be downloaded at any time.
