Tom Jose, an IAS officer of Kerala cadre, 1984-batch has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Kerala.
He will take over from Paul Antony (IAS officer of Kerala cadre 1982 batch) retiring on 30th of this month.
Jose is currently the Additional Chief Secretary of Labour and Skills, Water Resources and Taxes (Excise only) department.
Prior to this, he was posted as the Managing Director of the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation and Kochi Metro Rail Ltd.
He will retire in 2020.
