73 IAS officers shifted in Maha admin overhaul; more next week

In a near-overhaul of the administrative setup, the Maharashtra Government has transferred as many as 73 IAS officers (Check Out Full List). Those transferred include all the three officers from the Finance Department. However, what came as a big surprise was shifting of all the three Additional Chief Secretaries.

The three Finance Department officers—Sudhir Shrivastav, Sitaram Kunte and Bijay Kumar—have been transferred to Transport, Higher & Technical Education Department, and Agriculture & Dairy Development, respectively.

The transfers are believed to have taken place keeping in mind the wishes of ministers, most of whom are said not to sharing good rapport with their officers, which was causing hindrances in smooth function of the departments.
