NDMC311Taking a significant step towards providing an efficient, effective and livable urban area through technology intervention, the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has launched a mobile app ‘NDMC311’. This app will offer one-stop services and facilities to the citizens.

Union Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched the app at Central Park, Connaught Place in New Delhi in the presence of area’s Member of Parliament Meenakshi Lekhi. Services like property tax, real time traffic, electricity connection, birth and death certificates tax as well as contacting registered plumbers and electricians can be achieved through the app.

‘NDMC311’ app has several attractive features including Quick Pay, Traffic & Parking, Whats Near Me, Helpline24, etc. While citizens can pay water bill, property tax and estate bill through ‘Quick Pay’ feature of the app, Traffic & Parking feature would provide real-time traffic situation on roads and availability of parking lots in the areas under NDMC.


‘Whats Near Me’ feature of the app provides the location of public toilets, metro stations, hospitals, monuments, hospitals, libraries, taxi stands among others. ‘Helpline24′ feature would enable people to contact various departments in case of emergency situations to call ambulance or fire and disaster management departments.

Speaking at the launch of mobile app, Babul Supriyo said that under the guidance and leadership of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Ministry of Urban Development will not leave any stone unturned for transforming the lives by making the services to the public at large at one click. He further said that this application would help to improve the efficiency of the NDMC administration and make the area better through transparency, collaboration, co-operation and feedback.


Lauding the efforts being made by NDMC, the Minister said that this is further step towards the goal of digital India and certainly it would help in transforming the way NDMC interact with the citizens of New Delhi area by making online payments, reports, civic issues, access citizen services and get other relevant information.

The Minister called upon civic bodies of state governments and Union territories to follow this unique and innovative idea for providing an open channel of communication for issues with regard to concern public space and services.

Congratulating the NDMC for this endeavour for digitalisation of the civic services in New Delhi area, CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the NDMC should ensure that the all application of this App must be fulfill the requirement of citizens with letter and spirit. He also informed that Delhi Government will also commit to provide better civic amenities to the people of Delhi by using modern digital technology.

MP Meenakshi Lekhi said that this application would not only provide the facilities to the residents of NDMC area for making their payments of all citizen’s services like electricity, water, property tax, estate, barat ghar, yellow fever vaccination, birth and death certificates etc. but also disseminate the general information about NDMC like history, vision, departments and upcoming events of the city to visitors and floating population in New Delhi area also. This application is designed to tackle all kinds of citizens complaints and they could use their smart phones to get problems fix and make civil service request any where any time, she informed.

Besides area MLA Surender Singh, Chief Secretary of Delhi Government K K Sharma, NDMC Chairperson Naresh Kumar, Members of Council and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
