DBT-1The Department of Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs & Legal Metrology, U. T., Chandigarh has implemented the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Scheme for foodgrains from the month of September, 2015.
The subsidy amount upto the month of January, 2016 has been released to the eligible households through their Aadhar seeded bank accounts, as per the entitlements.
Presently, a total of 42,004 households with 1, 82,017 units (41,948 Priority Households and 56 AAY households) have been covered. Those eligible households who have any queries related to transfer of subsidy amount into their Aadhar seeded bank accounts can either visit their respective banks or can also check Aadhar linkage with their bank account by dialing *99*99# from their mobile number.
Also, a toll free no.1800-180-2068 and helpline no. 1967 of the Department is in operation for related queries. The beneficiaries can contact the office situated in the basement of Registering & Licensing Authority (RLA), Sector-17, U. T., Chandigarh for redressal of their grievances, said a UT official.
