Davinder Singh Brar
, Independent Director of leading IT services and solutions provider Mphasis, has been elected as the Chairman of the company. He replaces Dr Friedrich Froeschl, who resigned owing to health reasons from the Board.
Brar has been involved with the Life Sciences industry for nearly four decades. Post his tenure at Ranbaxy, he promoted Contract Research and Manufacturing Services companies GVK Biosciences and Inogent Labs. He has also served on the boards of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Wockhardt Limited, Gland Pharma Limited and Mountain Trail Foods Private Limited, apart from being a Special Advisor to Bain Consulting, according to a company press release.
Mphasis has also appointed on their Board Jan Kathleen Hier (Jan Hier-King) as an Independent Director and Jeff Thomas Ricci as a non-executive Additional Director.
Hier-King is currently a partner with a start-up named Bicycle Financial. Formerly, she was the Executive Vice President at Charles Schwab responsible for centralized support services, including Schwab Technology Services, Operational Services, Corporate Project Management, Operational Risk Management and Offshore Services.
Ricci, currently Senior Vice President and Controller for Hewlett Packard (HP) Enterprise, is responsible for all accounting and external financial reporting activities for HP Enterprise.
