hpHP has announced new solutions to help businesses capitalise on their VMware environments through faster implementation and greater return on investment.

“These new products and services are the latest in a series of recent innovations optimised for VMware vSphere, including new hyper-converged and all-flash storage systems announced earlier this month,” an official statement said.

Building on its 15-year relationship with VMware, HP announced:

  • An extension of a longstanding server OEM relationship, which now provides HP the ability to sell VMware NSX™, allowing customers to deploy applications faster, simplify and automate their data center network fabric and improve security.
  • Industry first end-user computing solutions providing the highest density graphics virtualization options.
  • New Converged Architecture, delivered as one integrated stack by a choice of certified channel partners saving customers time and resources.
  • New HP Software-defined Compute Services for VMware solutions, Network Virtualization Services for VMware NSX, Client Virtualization Services and Education Services for VMware that will enable organizations to better react to changing business dynamics, while providing a secure, stable environment.

“These announcements further extend HP’s long-standing relationship with VMware to simplify the implementation of the software defined datacenter and cloud environments,” said Neelam Dhawan, Vice President & General Manager, Enterprise Group and Country Managing Director, HP India. “These products, services, solutions and reference architectures will provide customers with the building blocks to transform to a hybrid infrastructure foundation to efficiently power the apps and workloads that run the business.”

HP, VMware Expand server OEM Agreement to Accelerate Network Virtualization Adoption

HP and VMware are also announcing the industry’s first sales, support and go-to-market agreement for the VMware NSX™ network virtualization platform to help customers accelerate the deployment of new high-performing applications, simplify data center fabric and operations and improve security.

In addition, HP’s hardware L2 GW solution, based on HP FlexFabric 5930 switch OVSDB and VMware NSX integration, as well as the industry’s first jointly developed federated HP software-defined networking and VMware NSX network virtualization solution enabling seamless integration of physical and virtual data center infrastructure, will attain VMware certification.

“The software-defined data center enables companies to evolve beyond hardware-centric architectures to create an automated, easy to manage hybrid cloud platform that can meet the demands of both traditional and emerging cloud-native applications,” said Carl Eschenbach, President and Chief Operating Officer, VMware.

New Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Solutions Deliver Unprecedented Density, Performance
