Aricent to invest $500 mn in India in 3 years

aricentUS-based software firm Aricent is planning to invest USD 500 million in India over the next three years to strengthen its product development capacity in the country.

The company develops software in communication segment.

“India is one of the prime countries for us. We will make investment in people, research and development,” Payal Koul Mirakhur, Chief Strategy Officer, Aricent said.

Aricent has already acquired SmartPlay Technologies, a fast-growing product engineering services firm with 1,200-plus employees and deep design expertise across semiconductors, embedded software and system design.

The acquisition expanded Aricent’s services and expertise to help the world’s top innovators accelerate development of software, hardware and network products for the Internet of Things.
