CCTVs in busesThe Integrated Security System (ISS) wil be insatalled at four railway stations in Mumbai comprising of CST, Dadar, Kurla and LTT.

According to report, the installation of ISS will cost Rs 21.72 crore.

The Integrated Security System will be inaugurated by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu along with a modified foot over bridge (FOB) to facilitate passenger movement at Diva in Vithalwadi,” according to report.


A total of 118 CCTVs have reportedly been installed at Dadar station as part of ISS along with six monitors of 42 inches.

Moreover, the width of extended foot over bridge is four meters and the length is 2.5 meters across PF No 1 and 2.


To ensure safety of women commuters, the Western Railway (WR) recently launched electronic surveillance in ladies compartments on trial basis.

According to report,  the system records the data in a digital video recorder, which has capacity to store the data for 30 days. The cameras have a resolution of three mega pixels with wide angle to cover all corners of the compartment.
