Pipersenia and Khosla get new roles

21regKhosla_194207Vinod Kumar Pipersenia, an IAS officer of 1980 batch and Assam Meghalaya (AM) cadre has been appointed as new Chief Secretary of the State of Assam. He has replaced the outgoing Chief Secretary, Jitesh Khosla, who is a 1979 batch IAS officer of the same cadre and has been assigned as Advisor to the State Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi. Khosla’s serving term as CS was from October 01, 2013 to May 31, 2015.

Earlier, Pipersenia served as Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture, Panchayats & Rural Development Department, Irrigation and PWD (R) & PWD (B & NH) Departments. He also held an additional charge namely, Agriculture Production Commissioner and PRC of Assam Bhawan (New Delhi).

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority developed much during his tenure in the Disaster Management Department and people in many districts witnessed transformation as the working process shifted from manual to computerised system.
