Krishan Kumar (IAS:PB:1997) has been posted as CMD, APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority). Initially, Sumanta Chaudhuri’s (IAS:WB:1985) name was finalised for the post but Government of West Bengal did not give clearance for extension of central deputation.
In his first stint in the rank of Joint Secretary, Krishan Kumar replaces Santosh Kumar Sarangi (IAS:OR:1994) as CMD, APEDA.
At present, he is serving in PMO as Director. Krishan Kumar’s innovative programme,“Padho Punjab” was much applauded in the State. It aimed to get hold of the interest of students via illustrations in books.
