Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said in the Lok Sabha that the Modi Government is committed to equal access to Internet for all.

“As far as the issue of net neutrality is concerned, we will strive to ensure a non-discriminatory availability of Internet for the people of India,” Prasad said.

He also emphasised on mobile governance. “The PM’s directive is that we don’t just want e-governance, we want mobile governance.”


The minister said that he has been instructed by the PM to make non-discriminatory internet available to all Indians. “

“The Prime Minister is pushing for ‘Digital India’. Our aim is that the country’s 125 crore people should have internet,” he said.
