Abhay K, a 2003 batch IFS officer and a poet at heart is all set to move to London. Currently posted in Kathmandu as India’s First Secretary in Indian Embassy, he would be taking over as Director of the Nehru Centre in London. During Modi’s visit to Kathmandu for SAARC Summit, it was being speculated that his poem might be adopted as the official song of SAARC.
He penned down an ‘Earth Anthem’, which highlights the importance of people to people cooperation between the two South Asian neighbours for a better world. The officer also dreams his ‘Earth Anthem’ would inspire the UNESCO and UN to come up with an official anthem for our home planet earth.
