The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Gurdial Singh Sandhu, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, as Chairman, National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention in the rank and pay of Secretary in the vacancy of Dr. Prajapati Trivedi. Sandhu was earlier serving as Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.
