Bihar will implement single window system in Bihar to ensure expeditious approval of all investment-related projects, Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has said.

“In view of our decision to woo private investment, the single window system must be strengthened and sharpened so that investors do not have any problem in getting approval for their projects,” the Chief Minister said speaking at ‘Udyami panchayat’, held on last Monday of every month.

“Wherever you (officials) find any lacunae in the single window system, you must promptly step in to remove those obstacles for convenience of the investors,” Manjhi said. He also urged the investors to set up industrial units in Bihar for which the state government would extend all help.

It may be mentioned that Manjhi had recently visited London to woo foreign investment to Bihar. The Chief Minister urged the industrialists of Bihar to become a partner in ‘Make Bihar’ project and take initiatives to set up industrial projects so that private investors from other parts of the country and abroad are encouraged.

Manjhi reiterated the demand for grant of special status to Bihar and said the state government would continue to press with the Centre in this regard so that private investors get various incentives for setting up industrial units in the state. A strategy would be formulated soon to chalk out a course of action to step up demand for grant of special status to Bihar, he added
