Central Government transfers 8 Secretaries

The Central Government has reshuffled eight Secretaries. They are:

  • Aradhna Johri, a 1980 batch IAS officer of UP cadre, serving as Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, will now serve as Disinvestment Secretary in the Ministry of Finance replacing Ravi Mathur. Mathur, a 1979 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, is due to retire at the end of the month.
  • V K Subburaj, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, has been appointed Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, replacing Aradhna Joshi. He was till now serving as Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled castes.
  • Kusumjit Sidhu,a 1979 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre, serving as Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, will now be Secretary, Department of Justice in the Ministry of Law and Justice.
  • Satyanarayana Mohanty, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, serving as Secretary, NDMA under Ministry of Home Affairs, will be the new Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. He will replace Ashok Thakur, a 1977 batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, who will retire at the end of this month.
  • Surjit Kumar Chowdhary, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, serving as Secretary, National Commission for Minorities, will be the new Secretary, Chemical and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers. He will replace Inderjit Pal, 1977 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, who will be retiring at the end of September.
  • Kapil Dev Tripathi, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, serving as Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission, will be new Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises. He replaces Kusumjit Sidhu on her relinquishing the charge.
  • R Vijyakumar, a 1978 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, has been appointed Secretary, Ministry of DoNER. He is presently serving as Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes. Vijyakumar replaces Rajiv Takru, a 1979 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, who has relinquished from the post.
  • Rajiv Takru will be the new Secretary, National Commission of Minorities. Takru replaces S K Chowdhary.
