Chhattisgarh government is all set to inaugurate its State data centre developed by Information Technology and Bio-Technology Department. It would be inaugurated by Chief Minister Raman Singh.

Information technology and bio-technology department secretary Aman Singh said that the data centre building has been constructed under the national e-governance scheme for collection of Chhattisgarh’s entire integrated data.

State government contributed Rs 7 crore for its construction. Chhattisgarh Housing Board developed it into a three-storey building as per the standard parameters. He further said that the data centre building will play an important role in development of infrastructure for e-governance in state. There are various public utility services like safe data collector, public information and online services, integrated web portal, intranet portal, calamity management, information system, network management etc.


It will help collect, operate and maintain the data related to e-procurement, choice centre, state service delivery gateway, police, IIM, public relations, tourism etc. Data centre has been jointly developed by the Government of India and Chhattisgarh government.
