National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has pumped in Rs 7,881 crore in 2012-13 into Madhya Pradesh’s rural economy for improving rural infrastructure, capital formation and to boost crop production, a release said.

Nabard boosted the rural economy through financial support to banks for ensuring enhanced crop loans, investment credit and creation of rural infrastructure by the state through RIDF funding support. Nabard has also made significant efforts to provide a fillip to rural economy through its various promotional and developmental initiatives including agriculture credit support, rural infrastructure development, core banking solutions in cooperatives, up-scaling Kisan Credit Card to RuPay cards, among others.
