Rajasthan CM to open e-Gov Knowledge Exchange Event

 

The three-day event is being jointly organised by the Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan and Elets Technomedia

New Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will inaugurate the prestigious e-Gov Knowledge Exchange being organised at the city Palace in Udaipur from December13-15.

The event will be formally inaugurated by the Chief Minister on December 14 where he will deliver the key-note address.

The three-day residential forum is being jointly organised by the Department of Information Technology & Communication (DoIT&C), Government of Rajasthan, and Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd, the publisher of Asia’s premier eGov Magazine.

The forum is expected to bring together more than 100 key leaders from the central and the state governments and stakeholders from across the country, ELETS Media CEO Ravi Gupta said.

Mr Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary, Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan, willl be the Programme Chair of the event.

The central objective behind the eGov Knowledge Exchange Forum 2012 is to offer a platform for discussions by industry experts, stakeholders, key decision makers and private players on the essential issue of ICT implementation in governance.

The event shall witness sessions, thematic presentations and discussions on landmark technologies such as Cloud/Virtualisation, IT Surveillance, Data Centre, Vehicle Tracking System, Storage Devices, Videoconferencing, IPv6, Social Media, etc.

Key officials from the Ministry of Communication and IT, Government of India, from various e-Governance agencies, Heads of e-Governance, IT and other nodal agencies from different states, IT officials from various government establishments including, Defense, Railways, NIC, Data Centres, Science & Technology Units, etc as well as officials from different IT Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) from across the country shall be converging on the idea of better governance through ICT implementation.

Along with the Department of Information Technology & Communication (DoIT&C), Government of Rajasthan, RajCOMP Info Services Ltd and the National e-Governance Plan are also participating as Host Partners. The event is offering a platform to exhibitors to showcase their IT tools and solutions through an expo that will be running parallel with the sessions.
