Infosys Bags MCA 21 v2

Infosys has bagged a five-year contract to implement  MCA 21 v2. The contract offered by Ministry of Corporate Affairs is worth approximately USD 50 million.

Infosys will provide services, application support, and infrastructure operations to the project which is a continuation of the existing MCA 21 project.

The company will also revamp the existing application after the project is transitioned to it by existing vendor TCS.

“By January, we will transitioning out of the present portal…The full transformation should be done in about 8-9 months and then we will maintain it for about five years,” Infosys VP and Head ( India Business) C N Raghupathi said.

The MCA21 project brought a major breakthrough in the offices of Registrars of Companies and Regional Directors by introducing electronic filing, making redundant filing of paper-based records.

National Institute of Smart Government CEO Sanjiv Mital said, “MCA21 is a transformational program which brought a lot of efficiency and enabled businesses in India. We expect the next phase of MCA21 to enhance the current solution and establish a model for what we like to call the ‘Transition and Transformation of Technology and Partner within Public-Private Deals’.”

Infosys has also been selected by the Department of Posts for its Rs 700 crore project to help India Post transform its banking and insurance operations cross 1.5 lakh post offices in the country.
