After huge success in the first online eGovernance certification test conducted by Government of Maharashtra that saw an overwhelming response, with 472 applicants and 299 people being able to submit within the prescribed time, registrations are now open for the second batch for all stakeholders working on e-Governance projects anywhere in India.

Aspiring candidates are requested to register for the test, following confirmation of your details. The test shall be available tentatively from October 25, 2012 along with a list of mentors that will be published, along with their contact details.


Government of Maharashtra has successfully launched the first free online certification program in eGovernance in India. This unique certification programs tests an individual’s skill and knowledge on e-Governance and is mandatory for all Department of IT Staff, Consultants and Software developers working with Government of Maharashtra.

As part of this unique initiative, reading material and links of important sites are also provided, which would facilitate learning of basic and fundamental concepts of e-Governance with practical scenarios. Based on an open book test, the focus is on understanding concepts and being able to appreciate and apply in real scenarios.
