A workshop titled ‘citizen centric e-government’ will be inaugurated by Maharashtra Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Anil Deshmukh on June 22. This is a part of 50 e-governance workshops being conducted by the Department of Information Technology in partnership with NASSCOM across the country. During the workshop, Maharashtra government will showcase e-governance solutions implemented in department of taxes, revenue and forest, registrations and stamp and divisional commissionerate, Nagpur, official sources said. Key stakeholders of national e-governance plan drawn from state and central government, consultants, technology partners and implementing agencies will participate in the event. The series of workshops are being organised to amplify the mission and message of national e-governance plan. The first workshop was hosted in New Delhi in July 2011 and the one to be held in city tomorrow will be 16th in the series, sources said. Additional Secretary Department of IT, Rita Teotia and secretary of state IT department Rajesh Agarwal will be spekaers.
