Traditional ways of maintaining records will be replaced by e-Governance model at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.

The UAF Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, while addressing the inaugural session of two-day workshop on ‘Web Technology and Project Management’, organised by the department of computer science on Tuesday, said that the new system will bring in transparency, and it will save money being spent in the form of files and pages.

He noted that e-Governance is creating success stories in many countries around the world. He also stated that many institutions in India have adopted the e-Governance system, which was running effectively.

Keeping this in view, UAF computerised its system of attendance of students, results, and admission to various disciplines and payment to employees a couple of years ago. “Now the university is committed to transferring the attendance system of employs and their movement on e-governance”, he said.
