City signifies population, easy access to basic amenities, commerce, culture, aspiration and prosperity. It also inhibits proper housing, transport facilities and recreational activities, inter alia. With the unprecedented increase in urbanisation, and the ever-growing demands of the citizens, the very concept of urban planning assumes importance.

Rapid economic development and increasing population load are pushing our urban centres to the brink. City authorities are grappling with challenges of managing and running their cities smoothly. Technology has answers to address many such issues and make our cities even more smarter.
