In a bid to keep a tab on the encroachments, Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has decided to make digital maps of original plans of each town, village, sector and sub-sector of the state.
It will reduce the rush at HUDA office and provide all information to Haryana residents at their doorsteps. These digital maps will be provided to the district police, administration officials, to all Residents Welfare Association (RWAs) and market associations. These digital maps will be also uploaded on the HUDA's official website and they will be also kept in compact CDs.
“Besides police and the district administration officials, RWAs can also identify the areas where encroachment is rampant and subsequently take remedial actions,” HUDA Administrator Rajinder Kataria said.
Apart from checking encroachments, daily routine issues like width of road, area of park, area of parking area, width of back lane, for which residents visit HUDA office daily, will be easily accessible on the digital maps.”
According to HUDA officials, with the help of these maps property owners can get exact details of their property like area, location. Apart from this, these digital maps will have information about parks, hospitals, markets and schools and colleges.
