Tenders for CDC by Orissa

Under the National e-governance Plan (NeGP) tenders for developing state level Centralised Data Centre (CDC) will be floated by the Orissa information technology (IT) department by the first week of December this year. This project will be implemented at an investment of Rs 75 crore and the amount is entirely funded by the Centre.

As told by PK Mohapatra, the Orissa IT secretary, this state level CDC in Orissa will have a centralised office at the Orissa Computer Application Centre. It will maintain data of all the departments of the state government and it is expected that this e-governance project will be fully implemented by December next year.

Yet another e-governance project which the Orissa IT department is going ahead with is called the Orissa Secretariat Workflow Automation System (OSWAS). This OSWAS will enable electronic movement of files of all the departments of the state government. At an estimated cost of INR 25 crore, the state IT department has teamed up with Tata Consultancy Services for implementing this project.
