After introducing a biometric card in the country, the UAE Government is bringing e-Voting and e-Elections to move one step towards e-Governance.

Soon, the residents of UAE will not have to go to the Immigration Department to get their passports stamped. Instead, for a fee of QR20, Q-Post will collect the passport from the holder and deliver it to a person's residence or office once the formalities are completed. By the end of the year 2009, a campaign will be launched to educate people on its benefits and uses.
