The Hungarian Customs and Excise Authority has recently introduced the electronic export customs procedures, which will significantly accelerate the movement of goods and should serve to enhance the international standing of Hungarian businesses.

The Export Controlling System/Automated Export System (ECS/AES) will provide on-line electronic communication between producers, customs authorities and government organisations, streamlining customs procedures and making them more secure. The government has already deployed the new systems at four main customs offices. Now that electronic export customs procedures are in place at all customs offices, exporters must register with the customs authorities to submit declarations electronically.
