DEWA achieves 98 percent in delivery of e-Services

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai is hoping to achieve 98 percent delivery of e-Services by the end of 2007.

DEWA has signed an agreement with the Dubai e-Government for the e-learning and training of its cadres. The agreement aims to develop the human resources through e-Learning. DEWA is one of the first government departments to inaugurate a website in line with the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stressing the necessity of modernising the work tools to simplify the procedures. Dubai e-Government is focusing on governmental departments and determining the best ways to train and improve their staff's competence.
