The Philippines Government will establish a $329-million Internet broadband project to connect every segment of the government in the country.

The National Broadband Network (NBN) Project aims to create seamless connectivity among all national and local government agencies as well as local government units (LGUs). The project will enhance the delivery of services to the people by cutting short the time used for waiting for decisions and replies to queries. An Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan from China will finance the NBN project and it is estimated to be implemented over a period of three years. The Department of Transportations and Communication and the Telephone Office (Telof) are implementing the project across the country.
