Nasscom, DRDO, India join hands to develop new technologies

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) of the Indian Ministry of Defence has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the India's leading IT industry National Association of Software and Services Industry (NASSCOM) to develop innovative technologies for the IT industry.

Under the MoU, Nasscom and DRDO would leverage their expertise to develop cutting edge projects for the IT industry. The MoU will help establish a successful working relationship between DRDO and the Indian IT industry and will advance issues of mutual interest.  This initiative will also strengthen cooperation for enabling a long-term involvement of IT software companies in DRDO's development projects.  DRDO will work with NASSCOM  in various software development projects related to radars, electronic warfare systems, flight control systems, avionics, missile systems, and command, control and communication systems.
