The Haryana Government is planning to connect all its 25 jails with the courts in the State through video-conferencing by the end of this year.

Haryana Government-owned company, Hartron, will implement the project. The state government has asked Hartron to execute the project and complete it by the end of this year. The company has started the process of inviting bids from the technology vendors for the project. Haryana has become the first state in the country to connect its jails with courts on a large scale. Apart from this project, the company is implementing a major project to link all major departments of the State Government. The company will link all organs of the State and local governments, up to panchayats, under the e-Governance plan.
