Chhattisgarh, India has become the first state in Asia to receive the UN award for “excellence in participation and capacity building” category.

Chhattisgarh has received UN award under the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Chief Minister Raman Singh, released a report based on human resource development index. The Chhattisgarh Infotech and Biotech Promotion Society (ChiPS), an IT wing of Chhattisgarh government, has prepared the 10 chapters of the report.
