State Govt. establishes India

Chandigarh State Government has established India's first Regional Cyber Security and Research Centre (RCSRC) in collaboration with NASSCOM and Punjab Engineering College (PEC).

 

This service centre will develop sophisticated technology to safeguard IT data and also help curb cyber crime across the country. The Department of Information Technology and Chandigarh Administration will jointly fund the project. NASSCOM will serve as a technical consultant for this initiative. It will be done through the Society for Promotion of Information Technology (SPIC), Chandigarh. RCSRC is the first cyber security research centre in the country, which will engage a ulti-disciplinary team of researchers and faculty to conduct specialist research in areas of information and cyber security and performance optimization in networking.
