The Department of Informatics and Telecommunications (DIT) and a leading academic R&D group for e-Government in Greece is planning to introduce e-Government Laboratory in the country.


The UoA/eGovLab group will provide business planning and operations management fore e- Government service schemes and deploy projects in the Greek public sector. Prof. Panagiotis Georgiadis, Associate Professor in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Athens will lead the e-Governance Laboratory. Recent R&D activities include different projects, like SMARTGOV, a two-year EU-funded research and development project focused on the development of a toolset for deploying electronic administrative forms.
