C-DAC completes first phase of e-Gov services in India

Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), the research and development institution is working with Indian government to implement the National e-Governance plan (NeGP).


C-DAC has completed the first phase of various e-Governance services like Municipal Corporation doing SMS to inform about tax paying dates or driving licence renewal days. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has organised session on open source software. The Government had used free and open source software (FOSS) to develop solutions for e-Governance, education institutes and scientific and engineering applications.
