Malaysia Government's eGovernment programme, the ePerolehan (eP) online procurement system is going to be targeting a procurement volume of RM10bil by 2010.

 

Commerce Dot Com has developed the eP under the authority of the Ministry of Finance (MoF). The company also maintains the eP system. Company has posted a 100 percent year-on-year increase in procurement volume to RM2bil for 2006. The MoF is targeting to expand eP to another 555 government procurement offices nationwide. The top five ministries have transacted actively through eP were the Ministry of Internal Security, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance and The Prime Minister's Office. Currently there are more than 78,000 active MoF registered suppliers who are linked to the electronic procurement system.
