Netherland based organisation DNV, has approved an ISO certificate to e-Governance centres of Hamirpur district located at Hamirpur, Nadaun and Mahre, Chandigarh, India.

 

DNV has given an ISO certificate for their performances in the field of issuing licenses for driving, conducting and registration of new and old vehicles. The main of the Hamirpur district administration is fully computerise the services so that transparency in their working could be attained and the people oriented services could be streamlined under the present IT era. Hamirpur centres of e-Governance will become the first centres of North India to get such certificates. The district administration has established e-Governance centres in various districts including Hamirpu, where activities like vehicle registration, driving license, registration of land, arms license, land records copy/nakal (HIMBHOOMI), passport form collection are going on. The touch screen kiosks have also been established in the corridors of the mini secretariat to provide the citizens a direct interface for these applications.
